Christmas in Lakewood CA

New this year to Lakewood, a 26-foot-tall decorated holiday tree will be on display at the Lakewood Civic Center from the first weekend of December through January 4 courtesy at events cosponsored by the city and Lakewood Center mall. A special feature is the animated light show on the tree that changes color to music every half hour from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The tree will be located in the plaza between city hall and The Centre at Sycamore Plaza at 5000 Clark Avenue.

Tickets to see the premiere lighting of the tree on Friday, December 5 were quickly reserved by Lakewood residents and are no longer available. But, with five additional nights of music and hot chocolate, there are plenty of opportunities for all Lakewood residents and friends to enjoy some holiday good cheer around the new Lakewood tree.

On December 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20, carolers and musical groups will entertain visitors in the Lakewood Civic Center Plaza starting at 6:30 p.m., and hot chocolate will be available from local service organizations for a nominal fee as a fundraiser for the groups starting at 6:00 p.m. Visitors will also receive an entry form at the events for a drawing to win a $100 gift card at Lakewood Center mall and coupons for use at the new, interactive “Santa HQ” inside the mall.

See the list below with details on musical groups and service organizations featured each night. In addition, the tree will be lit every evening from December 6 until January 4 starting at 5:00 p.m., with its musical lights playing until 10:00 p.m. No reservations are required to visit the tree any of those times from December 6 on.

Please note that the tree will be dark on Sunday, December 7.

Parking will be available in the rear Centre-City Hall parking lots.

Before going into real estate in 2001, I worked in the medical field. Found it very rewarding helping others and decided to make a switch and help those, who want to achieve the "American Dream". As a homeowner, I know the importance of home ownership and nothing gives me more pleasure than to place those keys into the hands of a new homeowner. I look forward to helping you, with all your real estate needs.
